  • Amanda thank you for this transparent self reflection and also the reflection on the evening. We stayed away from structure, agenda and attachment to outcome as much as possible for many reasons, including some that you mention. We did not aim to provide any answers but simply for people to see the reflections within the discussion and to process their experience beyond the evening – as you have done. Not the way we white folk are used to doing things. We lead with explanation and structured learning whereas this was an opportunity for experiential learning. We have now had 5 meetings and they have often been challenging because of the minimal structure and not taking responsibility for the learning of others. The opportunity for learning about oneself was immense as you reported. WEe are no reviewing the journey and thinking about where we go from here.
